Introduction:— The Muslim world has approximately 500 million internet users, but still has over a billion citizens without any access to the internet. Contrasted with China and India, they respectively have 721,434,547 (52.2%) and 462,124,989 (34.8%) as of 2016. The US has 286,942,362 (88.2%). The most populous number of internet users from a Muslim country comes from Nigeria (which is 47.9%% Muslim and set to become a majority Muslim country by 2030[1]) at 86,219,965 (46.1%) million people with access to the internet. This is more than the number of internet users from the UK (60,273,385; 92.6%), France (55,860,330; 86.4%) and Germany (71,016,605; 88.0%). Indonesia is ranked second to Nigeria with 53,236,719 (20.4%), followed by Turkey with 46,196,720 people (58%). On average 42% of Muslims have access to the internet from Muslim majority countries, and since 2015, the Muslim world has added 20—25 million internet users to the virtual network. However this is somewhat lesser than India which had added 108,010,242 users since 2015 (witha 30.4% growth rate from that year), but more than China which 15,520,515 people (with a growth rate of 2.2%). Additionally, some larger Muslim countries have really low internet penetration rates, such as Pakistan (17.8%) and Bangladesh (13.2%) despite having high speeds being available.[2] The Muslim world also has indigenous built supercomputers and foreign made, some of which have been added into the top 500.
